"The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles." – Psalm 34:17
Have you ever felt a deep, unshakeable need to connect with God? A desire so profound that it compels you to cry out to Him? This isn't just a suggestion; it's a divine invitation, rooted in the very heart of our Father. God doesn't just want us to pray; He wants us to cry out to Him from a place of promise.
Crying Out from Promise
When we come to the Lord, we aren't coming empty-handed. We're coming armed with His own Word, reminding Him of the promises He has spoken over our lives. When the manifestation isn't yet visible, when circumstances seem to contradict His truth, that's precisely when we press in. We cry out, "God, I must see the fulfillment of Your Word in my life! I am desperate for Your manifestation!" It's a cry born of a longing for His Spirit, a sound that transcends all other cries because it carries the very heart of the Father. This righteous cry declares His mercy, His faithfulness, and actively seeks His answers. It opens doors, shifts our mindsets, and moves mountains in our lives. A heartfelt cry, a sound released from a spirit desperate for God, shifts the heavens in a way that endless songs or sermons alone cannot.
Beyond Ourselves: God's Bigger Plan
"No one has ever seen God; but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known." – John 1:18
God has a new thing He wants to do, a mighty move He desires to bring forth within the body of Christ. But for this to happen, we must shift our focus. We cannot merely come to the house of the Lord to ask for things solely for ourselves. Instead, we must ask, "Lord, what can we do in Your Kingdom?" This requires knowing His bigger plan for our lives, understanding our unique assignment, and diligently pursuing it.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." – Jeremiah 29:11
Are you preparing your heart and spirit to receive and act upon His plans? As Colossians 1:9 reminds us, we cannot truly please God if we do not know what He desires.
Carriers of His Presence: A New Wineskin
God is looking for individuals, for a people, to establish His presence and take regions. He is calling us to represent His mandate so that He can establish His "House" – His people – to transform cities.
"In that day,” declares the Lord, “I will gather the lame; I will assemble the exiles and those I have afflicted." – Micah 4:6
We desperately need the presence of the Holy Spirit. We are called to become carriers of the Lord's presence, radiating His glory wherever we go. This often requires sacrifice – giving up what most are unwilling to surrender – so that He can richly endow us with Himself.
Remember, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" – 2 Corinthians 5:17. The Spirit of the Lord lives inside of you! You carry God, you carry deity, you carry superpower! When you walk in this truth, God moves through you. "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." – Philippians 4:13. Christ is in you!
It's time to shed the "old wineskins" – the lethargic mindsets, the rote religious practices devoid of life and passion. Doing things "because we should" without the vibrant presence of God leaves us stuck, doing the same things over and over. The Lord is announcing, "I AM HERE!" Get rid of the old wineskins, lay it all out before Him, and surrender to the new work He desires to do.
The Power of Sacrifice and Prayer
"When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple." – 2 Chronicles 7:1
We need to sacrifice and pray. We can do nothing of eternal significance without the tangible presence of the Lord. Where is the house – the people – where genuine sacrifice is offered? When you believe you can take a city, when you truly believe you can transform your sphere of influence, you realize that all you have is God. He is our purpose, our very reason for living. Without Him, we are nothing. It's time to stop living carnally and fully embrace a life lived in the Spirit.
Will you cry out? Will you prepare? Will you become a carrier of His presence, ready for the new thing God wants to do? The heavens are waiting for your cry.
