I often think about my father and the quiet strength he carried. He didn’t need to shout to be heard; his life was the loudest testimony he ever gave. When I sat down to name the KNg Dynasty, it wasn’t just about a clever logo or a professional brand. It was a spiritual download a bridge connecting the names Knauls and Ng, honoring the bloodlines that made me who I am while clearing a path for my daughter to walk on.
Building an "empire" sounds grand, but in the quiet of my morning usually over a cup of hot water or tea I realize that an empire is just a home that refused to stop growing. And that growth depends entirely on three things: Values, Vision, and Voice.
Values: The Soil and the Soul
In our culture, you don’t just represent yourself; you represent everyone who came before you. My values are the "old paths" the Bible talks about. They are the lessons learned in Montreal and the resilience carried through generations.
Values are the non-negotiables. They are the integrity we maintain when the deal is on the table and the empathy we show when the world tells us to be cold. To me, this is the "rock" Jesus spoke of. If I build on the sand of trends or ego, I’m just waiting for the tide to come in. But when I build on the values of faith, family, and honor, that foundation is unshakable.Vision: The Dreamer’s Gaze
I believe God gives us visions not just to see the future, but to survive the present. There’s a certain kind of "sight" required when you’re an entrepreneur in the sports world. You have to see the athlete not just for their stats today, but for the legacy they’ll leave twenty years from now.
That’s what the KNg Dynasty is it’s the ability to look at a seed and see a forest. Habakkuk tells us to "Write the vision and make it plain." I’ve spent my life writing it down, from the 2016 Forbes list to the plans for our sports academy today. Vision is the north star that keeps you moving when the road gets foggy. It’s knowing where you’re going even when you’re the first one in your lineage to ever travel that way.
Voice: The Power of the Story
My voice is where my heritage finds its breath. It’s the way I narrate our journey, the way I advocate for my clients, and the way I teach my daughter to speak her truth.
In the Bible, we see that the world was framed by words. Our voice is our creative power. It’s how we take the "Values" and the "Vision" and turn them into a reality that others can feel. For the KNg Dynasty, our voice is one of authority tempered with grace. It’s the storytelling that happens in an unboxing video, a social media post, or a boardroom pitch. It’s the "sound" of our legacy.
The Heart of the Dynasty
At the end of the day, I’m just a daughter of the King, a wife, and a mother trying to steward what I’ve been given. Every piece of custom apparel I design and every contract I review is a brick in this wall.
We aren't just building for the sake of being big. We are building to stay. We are building so that when people look at our "empire," they don't just see a brand they see a reflection of the Creator, a tribute to our ancestors, and a promise to the next generation.
The bricks may be new, but the blueprint is eternal.
