“You don’t look Chinese.”
“You must be mixed — are you sure you’re Chinese?”
“Your lips are too big to be Asian.”
“You’re not a typical Chinese girl.”
That constant echo of comparison made me question who I was. It made me feel like I didn’t belong — like I had to either shrink myself or change to fit into someone else's idea of what a Chinese girl should be. At one point, I was even ashamed of being Chinese. I wanted to distance myself from what made me different.
But growth has a way of waking you up — and God has a way of reminding you who you truly are.
Over time, I began to reclaim what I once rejected. I realized I wasn’t created to fit in — I was created to stand out. I started to see the richness of being Chinese: the history, the strength, the legacy, the language, the wisdom passed down through generations. Our roots are deep — and when you’re rooted in God, you begin to see just how intentional your design is.
Now, I walk boldly in both my culture and my calling. I teach my daughter — who is Chinese and Black — to love every layer of her identity. Even at her young age, she declares her heritage with pride and confidence. That, to me, is legacy in motion.
That is the KNg Dynasty spirit.
We don’t hide our differences — we honor them. We don’t shrink — we shine. We are the descendants of empires, born with fire in our veins and purpose in our steps.
So let me ask you this:
Do you see what God sees when He looks at you?
Because He doesn’t see a mistake. He doesn’t see “not enough.” He sees His creation — fierce, beloved, handcrafted in His image. You were never meant to be a copy of someone else. You were born to walk in your own divine rhythm.
Whether you're Chinese, Black, White, mixed, or anything in between — you are royalty. You are a child of God. And you are here for a reason.
You weren’t created to blend in.
You were created to break barriers, build legacy, and live boldly.
That’s the KNg Dynasty way.
