A Letter to My Daughter: Love, Legacy, and the God Who Writes Our Story

Proverbs 18:22 (NIV) says: “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.”

But before this verse ever became something I lived, it was something God was preparing me for. And now, I write this not just as a woman, not just as a wife but as a mother.

My Beautiful Azalea, This Is For You

My beautiful Azalea,

One day, when you are old enough to understand the weight of love, faith, and becoming, I want you to read this and know where it all began. Before you were ever in my arms, you were in my prayers.

When I was a young girl, I gave my whole heart to the Lord. I didn’t understand everything, but I knew enough to trust Him with the most precious thing I had my heart. I asked Him to hold it, protect it, and not release it to anyone until He chose the man who would walk this life with me.

I didn’t chase love. I didn’t search for validation. I let God write my story.

I wrote in my journals about the kind of man I believed God would bring into my life. Not a perfect man but a man who would love God more than he loved me. A man who would seek God first, lead with humility, and cover his family in prayer. And God honored that.

Hidden Seasons Build Strong Foundations

There were years where it looked quiet. But it wasn’t empty it was intentional. God was protecting me. Building me. Hiding me until it was time.

I didn’t get distracted by every connection. I didn’t confuse attention with assignment. Friendships stayed friendships. Business stayed business. And purpose stayed at the center. Even when I stepped into rooms I never imagined like being recognized for Forbes 30 Under 30 I didn’t fully understand it at the time. But now I do.

God was showing me early:
You belong in rooms of influence but you must stay rooted in Me.

When God Writes the Love Story

Then I met your father. It didn’t start like a fairytale. It started with conversation, purpose, and truth. We built through business. We spoke honestly. We saw potential before emotion. But I made one thing clear, even then: If God is not first, there is no “us.”

I remember asking him, “How is your relationship with the Lord?” because I knew something deep in my spirit if a man doesn’t know how to follow God, he won’t know how to lead a family. And we chose that foundation. God first. Always.

You, My Daughter, Are a Promise Fulfilled

Before I ever saw your face, I saw glimpses of you.

I saw a little girl walking beside me. I didn’t know your name yet—but my spirit recognized you before my eyes ever did. And now, here you are. You are not just my daughter you are a promise fulfilled. A living testimony that God keeps His word.

And even now, our faith continues. We have you, our beautiful daughter but we are still believing for your brother. Just like God brought you into our lives, we trust Him with what is still to come. Our story isn’t finished it’s still unfolding.

What I Need You to Carry

Azalea, hear me when I say this:

You do not have to chase love. You do not have to compete for attention. You do not have to shrink to be chosen. You are already chosen by God first. Let Him write your story.

Guard your heart not out of fear, but out of wisdom. Become who God created you to be before you try to walk beside someone else. And when that time comes, choose a man who doesn’t just love you but who knows how to love God deeply.

Because that kind of love will cover you, lead you, and grow with you.

The KNg Dynasty Legacy

This is bigger than just our story. This is legacy.

KNg Dynasty isn’t just a name it’s a declaration. That we are built through faith, refined through fire, and sustained by God’s hand. It’s knowing that who we are is not defined by the world but by the One who created us. And you, my daughter, are part of that legacy.

Final Word

Proverbs 18:22 is not just about finding a wife. It’s about God orchestrating lives, aligning hearts, and building something sacred out of obedience. And if there’s one thing I want you to remember, it’s this: God writes better love stories than we ever could. So trust Him with yours. Always.
